“Where can I catch the game?”

Why, when you’ve got a nice quiet room and TV waiting for you, would you want to leave the hotel to watch the game somewhere else? Any armchair quarterback knows the answer to that. You don’t just want hoops, football or baseball, you want it with food, drink, and like-minded fanatics. For over 25 years people have been watching sports at Pizza Port at 787 Main. They’ve got a lot of room, a lot of pizza, and a lot of Laker, Raider, Dodger, and 49er fans in there. There are restaurants on the waterfront too, with a high-def or two behind the bar. Poke your head inside the Harbor Hut or Great American Fish Company and see what’s on. Or move on south, down toward the Otter Rock Café or Libertine Pub.  Farther south still is Rose’s Landing with its bay-view bar. If you’re looking for a bar-bar, the Fuel Dock Saloon and Legends at the Circle Inn have TV’s and they’re just up the hill, across the intersection from each other at Harbor and Main. A North Morro Bay option is The Buoy at San Jacinto and Main, but if you have to drive back to your hotel, don’t over-celebrate or drown your sorrows too heavily. Whatever the season is, whoever your team is, if they’re on TV, there’s probably a Morro Bay bartender or restauranteur, that can find a way for you to watch them and cheer them on.
